If you grew up loving DOTs candy at the movies, you’ll get a kick out of this recipe! I was experimenting in the kitchen and decided to try my hand at DOTs Nougat Candy—a fun, fruity, chewy treat made with DOTs, white chocolate, and marshmallows. It’s super easy to make and a delicious way to bring back a little nostalgia with a twist.
The Ingredients
This recipe calls for just a few ingredients: white chocolate, marshmallows, butter, and of course, DOTs! The combination creates a smooth, chewy nougat with bursts of fruity flavor from the DOTs. The process is as simple as melting, mixing, and letting it set, making it a fantastic recipe to whip up quickly.

How to Make DOTs Nougat Candy
Melt the Base: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and a bit of butter. Microwave for 90 seconds, stirring halfway through to ensure everything melts smoothly.
Add the DOTs: Once melted, stir in the DOTs, which I chopped into quarters to spread out that fruity goodness. Quickly pour the mixture into an 8x8 pan lined with parchment paper and lightly sprayed with nonstick spray.
Smooth and Set: After pressing the nougat smooth with hands rinsed under hot water (to keep things from sticking!), let it set. You can refrigerate for 6 hours, but for a quicker fix, freezing for 2 hours works too.
The Challenge of Cutting: The hardest part of this recipe is definitely cutting the nougat! It’s chewy and sticky, so you’ll need a sharp knife or even kitchen shears. Some folks recommend a pizza cutter to make it easier.
The Result
The nougat came out beautifully chewy and sweet with bursts of fruity flavor from the DOTs. It’s like a playful upgrade on classic nougat candy! Each square is filled with little colorful gems of DOTs, making it as fun to look at as it is to eat.
Tips for Success
Cutting Hack: Try using a pizza cutter or kitchen shears if you find it hard to slice. A sharp, hot knife also works wonders.
Storage: For best results, keep the squares in the fridge or freezer between parchment paper layers to prevent sticking.
If you’re in the mood for a simple, nostalgic treat, give this DOTs Nougat Candy a try! It’s a perfect snack to share (or keep all to yourself!). Just be prepared for a little arm workout when it comes to slicing! 🍬
